Binary Space Partition Window Manager! Oh how I do adore thee. You let me arbitrarily divide up the windows on my screen into neat regions that I have fine control over, and you let me dictate my own arbitrary hotkeys.
Every now and then someone in a class or hackathon will glance at my laptop and ask me "woah, how did you get it to look like that?" I must confess that desktop customization somehow became a hobby of mine some time in middle school and has since devolved into something of a mild obsession. I tend to tinker with my desktop environments a lot, both for aesthetic and practical purpose.
Lately, I've been toying with a lot of project ideas. I ought to write them down here, just to keep track of what I've been up to this summer.
I finally got around to finishing off my website redesign. I started over winter break, but got stuck on Jekyll integration for Github Pages. I had some free time so I decided to polish it off. I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out, particularly in color and layout. It took a week or two of playing with Kuler and Subtle Patterns before I finally settled on something that didn't make my eyes bleed.
